I surprised myself with this purchase - a camel coat. I think a lot of it has to do with my new hair. Previously, I shied away from any and all brown tones due to my hair also being brown, and not finding brown to be all that flattering on me. Now that I'm blonde, I guess all bets are off. I found this coat in the Zara sale, and had to have it.
I was torn between this coat - then $60, now even lower - and another that seemed to be a lonely unicorn one size too small that didn't seem to be in the sale and cost $200. I think for a camel coat test drive, I made the right choice. This one will last me at least a couple of seasons, and while it's not wool or anything fancy, it's warm enough.
This little shoot was also a test drive of my new Panasonic Lumix mirrorless camera I mentioned in my year-end review post. I happened to have the camera in my bag, so I thought I'd take it out and do what I had intended to do with it! We're still getting to know each other, but I really like how these shots turned out. Now to save up for the 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens so I can get some great depth of field ;)

Hope you're enjoying (or at least surviving) this sudden winter weather. Brrrrrr, it's cold in here!
