Hello. It's me.
But I think I do need to confirm that it is indeed me, given my completely new head. My blonde head. My very blonde head. The giveaway that it is indeed me is this long Zara coat that has basically become a part of my body over the past couple of months. This warm winter weather in Canada has prolonged my cute coat-wearing time, so here it is.
So much of this outfit is Zara, and I don't even mind. Zara's that one place where you can go if you have nothing good in your closet anymore, and they're like "I got u". These "shaping" leggings from there? Amazing. $35, and amazing. I want to wear them every day. Except for the weird indent the front seam leaves in my leg after I take them off. My only complaint. Also, these boots. You've seen them before. They're my ride or dies. I recently bought another similar pair from this year's Zara A/W collection (these are last year) with a slightly higher block heel and they are equally as bomb. As for this sweater, it's not Zara, but Romwe, an online retailer based out of Asia. I was seduced by their Black Friday selection and got this and another sweater, and a striped dress. All of it fit and all was fine quality, but the shipping ended up being quite expensive, and I had to pay duty and brokerage fees (50% of my total!) because they ship with DHL. I was not amused, and will not be shopping with Romwe again. As an avid online shopper, a little part of me dies every time I pay duty. And I'm not quick to forget it.
You may also have noticed that I did what I swore I would never do, and bought a strap to go with my Louis Vuitton Pochette Accessoires. From the Louis Vuitton boutique. I am a sucker. There's a bit of a story behind how and why I ended up caving and getting it, but I will save that for another time. But I actually love it so much - I've been carrying my pochette as a crossbody on the regular, and it's such a space saver. As you can see in the photos, I've become quite partial to wearing it under my coat. I think I saw another blogger doing that on Instagram a while back, and I thought I would try it out. It's life-changing, I swear. No awkwardly struggling to take your purse and coat off after coming in from outside, adequate protection from the elements, an unexpected touch of chic. Obviously the bag has to be small enough, but I've also been doing it with my Gucci Disco bag with the same sartorially spectacular results. I'm a convert.
