Chanel Rouge Allure #88 Evanescente...
... also known as the gateway lipstick to beauty-stalking.
The first time I saw the photos from the London premiere of Anna Karenina, I was so so so jealous of Keira Knightley's look. This isn't a new jealousy, I've been girlcrushing hard on Keira since Bend it Like Beckham. But for some reason I was particularly obsessed with this look.
So of course, of course, it turned out that Lisa Eldridge had created the look. Then Lisa tweeted that this was the lipstick she had used. Eureka! Foolproof beauty-stalking. Lips take nearly zero effort to replicate. Hurrah!
While the formula itself isn't the most moisturizing, it wears quite well (4 or so hours, on me) and the colour is lovely (a muted light pink with a slight frost to it). It's classic and classy, and just the right amount of colour. It looks a little bit lighter on me, for some reason. But then again, it could be lighting, heaviness of application, etc. I'm still tweaking it. Soon I'll look like Keira, I just know it.
